Jelavic
Wow this guy is proving to be fucking useless hey?

Through twice and fucked it up big time.

What a waste of money, surely a youth player deserves a chance over him.

Danny Murphy is the latest former pro to slam Nikicia Jelavic declaring: “He’s not good enough to start for West Ham.”

Perhaps the most fair minded and balanced of the Match of the Day pundits said brutally: He (West Ham manager Slaven Bilic) is playing Jelavic. With no disrespect, his legs have gone, by the way.”

Re: Jelavic
Feel sorry for this cunt, few games on the spin and he'll be ok.

Touch was poor v Swans but he's not played really in 4-5 months.

Actually, can't wait until early March when he scuffs and nicks the winner v the YIDS.

Think we should play a bag of cement up front it would have more movement

Decent assessment that Russ. Need to give players a few games at this level to get with the pace of the Prem and peak fitness that is needed.

Jelavic looks like a lost cause but might improve sharpness as he plays a few games. That said, can we afford to allow him to do that.

Antonio will need to be a quick learner. He has the pace and strength but like Russ says he lacks the technique (touch and control and skills) to get past better defenders. You cannot just try knocking it past them. But lets see how he goes, there is something there no doubt and I would like to see a little more of him before writing him off as 1st 11 material :-)

See you are on top form today KIA, bouncing around from thread to thread putting everyone in their place, and you had the audacity the other day to accuse me of following YOU around. LOL.

It's pretty good to have a few left that actually trys to post about football rather than the likes of you who's posting abilities stretch to "Players x is fucking shit"

No wonder you find those that can make a decent point and explain why boring.

Re: Jelavic
Defensively Antonio is very good He's got a good engine and is fast so he can get back and cover. He's also rugged and physical so very rarely gets beaten.

Going forward is where he looks lacking. Great pace but looks limited on the ball in both touch and distribution / creativity.

But, again, he is a squad player and with the likes of Moses, Payet, Lanzini injured he is being called on to do a job.

Personally I think he has done pretty well. He's obviously still finding his feet against better, faster and stronger defenders so may take some time for him to come good. If he does.

I like the fella. He seems honest and hardworking. Hope it works out but right he now he looks way off decent PL standard.

Re: Jelavic having medical.
I'm not happy with this one. 30 years old, injured a lot over the years, progressively got worse in front of goal...and we are handing them money to have him permanently?!

What are we playing at?

Re: Jelavic
I just said antonio will be a shrewd investment ron? Where are we moving it onto as it looks like we both agree jelavic wont be?

Althoughi recall you were happy we signed him...

Re: Jelavic
It's true and we haven't scored a goal neither.
I really hope I see this potential vs Villa if he plays.

Re: Jelavic
I got a Forest MATE (Pav the Russian) who I have talked about Antonio... said he's right hit or miss.... pretty average in 4 or 5 game spells... and then will have a couple of games where he is UNPLAYABLE... don't chuck in the towels yet lads

Re: Jelavic
We ARE still yet to concede while Antonio is on the pitch aren't we or did I just make that up?

i-Ron 3:58 Wed Dec 23
Re: Jelavic
It hasn't. I've tried to move the conversation on you see. Do you know all the other deals and exact fees we're due to pay if they're going to be a success? Or do you only argue with the EXACT (or reported) fee when it is a player you don't like?

penners28 3:51 Wed Dec 23
Re: Jelavic
what has that got to do with antonio being value for money?

Re: Jelavic
Cheers. Is that how you know Jelavic was £3million bang on without add ons? You could send me them all!
